New from January 1, 2025

There are already clear guidelines for handling biocidal products within the EU. As part of the requirements of the Biocide Law Implementing Ordinance (ChemBiozidDV), which is valid only in Germany, we have adapted our KORA® wood protection program.

Because from January 1, 2025, there will be new rules for the distribution of biocidal products. This also includes certain wood preservatives. There is no restriction on the delivery of assortments treated with biocide-containing products (“treated articles”).

New from January 1, 2025:

Affected wood preservatives may only be dispensed under the following conditions:

Delivery to a private user (DIY) requires a documented delivery discussion by a competent person.
In the case of a professional user, the handover interview is omitted. The user category must be assessed by a competent person.

The following professional documents are permitted in accordance with Section 13 of the ChemBioZidDV:

Expertise in accordance with the Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance (ChemVerbotsV, §11), if this also covers biocides
Plant protection expertise, when advanced training in accordance with ChemVerbotsV also covers biocides
Expertise in accordance with GefStoffV, provided that the expertise relates to the type of product to which the delivered biocidal product belongs

Koranol® Impregnating Glaze Pro* (2.5 l, 5 l, 20 l)
Koranol® Basic* (0.75 l, 2.5 l, 5 l, 20 l)
Koranol® Ib* (0.75l, 5l, 20l)
Koralan® wood oil special* (10 l, 20 l)
Koralan® GL 220* (2.5l, 10l, 20l)

Note: Koralan® waterproofing primer will only be available as a film protection variant from 2025.
